Expat Assignments: Are You Addicted?

Hello Everyone, We had this article published online yesterday in The Telegraph UK: Expat Assignments: Are You Addicted?

Here's how it starts:

"If you love living abroad, you see your passport more than your home country, you enjoy a much-envied lifestyle and you hate the thought of repatriating, there is a good chance that you, like many expats before you, have been seduced by the addictive nature of international assignments.

So what exactly is it that makes such assignments so addictive? The answers are many and varied, but here are six of the big ones..."

It is aimed at expats (and their partners/families) sent abroad by their employer on international assignments.

Best wishes for your weekend! Andrea

Andrea,
Excellent article... you really pinpointed so many of the reasons my husband & I intend to be expats forever! A friend who is on her 6th international move calls herself a "serial expat" and I think it's a perfect description for an expat addict.
Congrats on your article in the Telegraph!
Cheers!

Dear Andrea,
Loved it! You hit the nail on the head. There is nothing like the expat lifestyle, nothing like the friendships you form, the people you meet. Once an expat, always an expat...and people really don't want to know about your life abroad...Envy? This is why I am planning another move. My husband and I will be going to Panama to explore the possibilities of moving there when he retires!
Have a lovely weekend,
Mercedes
