Hi Everyone, I talked yesterday to Mr Niels Colov, the President of the Pattaya Expats Club in Thailand.
Mr Colov is a Dane who has been living in Pattaya for nearly 30 years and who started Pattaya People - the first English-speaking newspaper in Pattaya - over 17 years ago.
Mr Colov (interviewed here in a local tv broadcast) confirmed that the Pattaya Expats Club currently has 3,800 members!
Has anyone heard of an expat club based on one specific location that has a larger membership?
If so, please let me know as I would love to know about it, as this is the largest, local expat group that I can recall finding to date.
By the way, Mr Colov said the weekly club breakfasts are in need of some more expat women... so if you are an expat woman in Pattaya, please get in touch with the club and get involved. They would love to have you. Thanks.

No, I have not heard of an expat club bigger than the one you talked about. But I would love to be able to find others, a listing of other clubs similar to this one. I am wondering where all the expats go to find a more permanent perch once they stop the globetrotting life. Serial expats often find themselves in a situation where they don't feel they belong in their home countries anymore and need a place where kindred spirits migrate. I'd love to know where such places are where international types enjoy living.
Hi Miss Footloose,
This is a question that I get asked quite often... ie. are there any repatriate clubs around and/or where do former expats go to find like-minded souls when they go 'home'.
Yet, I have only come across one Repatriation Network, and it is located in Denmark.

As a recent repatriate, I'd love to know about more repatration networks too and/or any more comments to your question. Anyone?
