I understand that usa2me is an advertiser, but the people who read this blog should know there are better options. I changed from usa2me to http://www.BongoUS.com about 6 months ago. I love their service and they are about 20% less expensive (don't charge fuel like usa2me) than usa2me. Just thought the group would want to know.

Hi anabellapena,

Thanks for sharing your experience. I believe there are usually both positive and negative stories about every business. :-)

Best wishes,
Andrea

I tried a services like these, and I've had good and bad experiences.

Forward packages should not be that complicated, but apparently few manage to do it well.

When using a package forwarding service, the shopper (that's us) ends up paying shipping fees twice (once for the retailer to send it to the package forwarding service, and once more when the forwarding service charges us shipping fees), and then we pay the forwarder's 'service fee' on top of that.

I recommend dealing only with online shops that will take international orders and make international shipments themselves.
Here's a shopping directory site I found that I hope others will find useful. It lists only online shops that accept international orders (and this site lets you choose your country, so you can see which online shops will deliver to you):
