Expat Show & Cuisine Festival, Shanghai, September 2010

Hi Everyone, If you are an expat in (or moving to) Shanghai, China, don't miss the upcoming Expat Show and Cuisine Festival, Friday 17th to Sunday 19th September, at the Shanghai Exhibition Center.

"The Expat Show Shanghai is the biggest gathering of the foreign community with over 12,000 visitors set to attend. The show was created to serve as a platform for over 200 exhibitors to promote their services and products to make the lives of expatriates living in Shanghai easier.  Not only that but the show is host to many activities such as ‘Live Performances’, ‘Mom and Babies Fair’ and a ‘Private Kindergarten’ to allow for an enjoyable day for all.

Expat Show Shanghai - September 18-20

Hi Everyone, With new expat arrivals in lots of cities worldwide, the expat exhibition season is getting into full swing. If you are living in Shanghai, drop in to their Expat Show next month at the Shanghai Exhibition Center.

This exhibition is in it's third year and it is expecting to attract around 200 exhibitors this year. The Expat Show is also putting on a range of activities (like their Associations Village, Kindergarten, Soccer Tournament and Art Gallery). Plus they are promoting that there will be special deals that will be on offer from travel agencies, clothing and jewellery shops, art galleries, food and beverage providers, and more.

So, if you are in Shanghai... mark your calendar and register now.

Expat Show Beijing: Starts This Friday

Hi Everyone, If you are living in or moving to Beijing, you might like to check out the annual Expat Show Beijing which starts this Friday, 22 May, and runs until Sunday, 24 May.

The event will be held at the China World Trade Center and they are running free shuttle buses from Tianjin and Shunyi.

"The Expat Show is the first annual event geared towards establishing face-to-face contact between companies and expatriates and providing them with various kinds of services which relate to their daily lives.

Exhibitors will cover finance, pensions, fashion, local and international real estate, automobiles, education, health, travel, service providers (maids, cleaners, interpreters, etc.) interior designers, international removals, restaurants, sports clubs, local associations, charities, immigration and legal services.


Last year the Expat Show Beijing was a great success. The second such event this year is expecting 150 exhibitors and around 10,000 visitors.

During the Expat Show Beijing 2009's three day exhibition, various interesting activities have also been organised to coincide with the show; such as a Chinese Culture Centre, Bazaar, Kindergarten, Soccer Tournament, Kid's Land and Relaxation Area."

Geneva Exhibition: Art & Human Rights

Hello again Everyone, Just a quick shout-out for Charlotta Hayes, from Artists United Against FGM (Female Genital Mutilation) - a volunteer group aiming to use art exhibitions to raise money for organisations working actively to try to stop FGM in Africa.

If you are living in Geneva, you might like to support the group's first exhibition. The opening is tonight, Thursday 23 October, 5pm - 9pm. The opening of the second half of the exhibition is next Thursday, 30 October, same time. Everyone welcome. Thanks.
