CultureGPS: New iPhone/iPod Application

Hi Everyone, I read with great interest last week one of Megan Fitzgerald's blog posts about this new iPhone/iPod application...

From the CultureGPS web site:

"CultureGPS is a tool for the iPhone and iPod Touch that enables you to analyze behavior differences in intercultural encounters and to predict to a certain degree, which interactions evolve when people from different nationalities meet and work together.

CultureGPS will help you analyze, understand and handle cultural differences in a business context. Our approach is based on extensive research into national values and practice worldwide, at the core of which lies the work of Professor Geert Hofstede. He has developed a validated 5-dimension model which explains cultural differences in a unique and powerful manner."

In the same blog post, Megan interviews Professor Hofstede, who, according to the Wall Street Journal ranking in 2008, is one of the top 20 most influential business thinkers.

If you are interested, take a read of Megan's post here.
